FRIDAY – Edward T., 84, of Nanty Glo, went to be with the Lord, May 25, 2017 at home. Born Feb. 28, 1933 in Twin Rocks, son of the late George and Mary (Curtis) Friday. Preceded in death by daughters, Cheryl Ryan and Karen Friday; sisters, Mary Depue, Margaret Casper, and Teresa Evans; brothers, Frank and William Friday; and several brothers and sisters in law. Survived by wife, Isabelle (Kerezsi) Friday; and children, Carole Vogel and Edward (Yolanda) Friday. Grandchildren, Julia Vogel, Jenna Vogel, Zackary Vogel, Alicia Ramirez and Monica Ramirez. Great Granddaughter, Clara Friday. Also survived by sister, Dorothy Berezansky; son in law, John Ryan; nieces and nephews, Michele, William G., and Craig (Lynn) Campbell and Monica (Paul) Little; Great nephew, Joshua Little; and several other nieces and nephews. Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. US Army veteran having served in the Korean War. Lifetime active member of Nanty Glo American-Polish Citizens Club. Retired from Dominion/Peoples Natural Gas of Johnstown, with 32 years of service. Ed enjoyed gathering with fellow Dominion retirees for monthly breakfasts and dinners. He also enjoyed bus trips to the casinos; and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayers service will be held. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church, the Very Rev. Leonard Voytek, VF, celebrant. Committal to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Nanty Glo. Military Rite by Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks, and Vintondale area veterans ritual team.
