SYSTER – William O. “Bill”, 81, of Strongstown, passed away Jan. 4, 2010 at home. Born June 17, 1928 in Strongstown, son of the late Otis and Goldie (Stephens) Syster. Survived by sisters, Ruth, of New Jersey and Martha of Strongstown; and brother, Dwight of Strongstown. Retired from C & I Railroad with over 30 years of service. Bill enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, the Rev. John H. Snyder, officiating. Interment at Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to The Salvation Army or to the charity of your choice.
