DOMBROSKY — Bernard “Bernie”, 76, of Jackson Twp., passed away September 28, 2018, peacefully with his family by his side. Born August 16, 1942 in Lilly, to the late Edward Dombrosky and Leatha (Myers) Rodgers. Bernie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patty (Clay) Dombrosky. Also survived by his daughter, Kim and her husband Dr. Jonathan Wilson of Ligonier and their children, Nathan, Troy and Courtney; his son, Jeff from Davidsville and his wife Trina (Gindlesperger) and their children, Tori and Grant; his son, Matt from Nanty Glo, and his girlfriend, Rebecca and her children, Keira and Zayden. Bernie was a Vietnam Army veteran. He was employed as a miner, steel worker, and warehouse associate. Bernie was most recently employed at Magic Touch Car Wash in Ebensburg where he enjoyed speaking with the regular customers as much as he did washing their cars. Bernie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed Musky fishing. He loved spending time with his family and cheering on the Steelers and Penguins. Bernie will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all the lives he touched. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner, the Rev. Andrew Draper, celebrant. Committal to follow at Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg.
