RAGER - Betty "Gram" (Black), 79, of Nanty Glo, passed away Oct. 12, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 30, 1927, in Twin Rocks, daughter of the late Charles Ruben and Golda Esther (Lydic) Black. Preceded in death by grandchildren, Michael Anthony Rager, Nicole Lynn Burkhart and Larry J. "Dutch" McDonald; brother, Charles "Charlie" Black; sisters, Gladys Adams and Thelma Robinson, three infant sisters, and three infant brothers. Survived by children, David, and wife, Julie, Johnstown; Charlotte, and husband, Bob Funyak, Florida; Shirley "Bunny," Rager and special friend, Peter Nagy, Johnstown; Joyce, and husband, Rod Miller, Portage; Charles, Butler; and Kenneth, and wife, Pamela, Nanty Glo; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, special friend, Betty Walker, Nanty Glo; numerous nieces and nephews. Member of the Nanty Glo Church of the Nazerene and had attended Bethel Full Gospel Church of Chickaree. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. C. Edward Albert, officiating. Interment, United Brethern Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made to her family.
