KONCHAN - William J. “Bill”, 75, of Vinco, went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2011. Born March 26, 1936 in Johnstown, son of the late Vincent Konchan and Mary Konchan-Tatarko. Preceded in death by brothers, Francis Konchan, Joseph, John and Edward; and sister, Agnes Tatarko. Survived by wife, Beverly, of 46 years; and daughters, Patricia (Tim) Burkey; and Michele (fiancé Gerald Stauski) Auvdel. Grandsons, Brandon and Bradley Auvdel. Also survived by sisters, Christine (Sam) Marchu; Jeanie (Joseph) Berdomas; Irene (John) Valenti; Mary Kilroy; Marge (George) Kaiten; and brothers, Paul (Patti) Tatarko; and George (Irene) Tatarko; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner. US Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and golfing. Bill will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes., Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held that evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Tuesday at St. John Vianney Church, the Rev. Andrew Stanko, celebrant. Committal, Forest Lawn Cemetery. Military Rite by Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks and Vintondale area veterans organizations. Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Jackson Twp. Vol. Fire Co.
