HOLBINK Robert John, 70, of Nanty Glo, passed away Dec. 3, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 19, 1943 in St. Michael, son of the late Peter and Stella (Kohan) Holbink. Preceded in death by brother, Fred; and sister, Dorothy McLaughlin. Survived by brother, Peter; and niece, Cass Ann Meiser. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner. US Army veteran. Member of Nanty Glo American Legion, VFW, and L.O.O.M.; Steve Klosz Post VFW, Twin Rocks and American Polish Citizens Club of Nanty Glo. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held that evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. John Vianney Church, the Very Rev. Andrew C. Stanko, celebrant. Committal, St. Mary s Cemetery, Nanty Glo. Military Rite by Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks and Vintondale area ritual team. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert s memory may be made to his church.
