EMERSON – Georgianna Joan, 72, of Nanty Glo, passed away Dec. 23, 2018 at Cambria Care Center. Born July 25, 1946 in Conemaugh Twp., daughter of the late Charles and Edna (Gamble) Platt. Preceded in death by sister, Becky Knipple and brothers, Donald, Dwayne and Leroy. Survived by husband of 37 years, Jackie Emerson; brothers James Platt; sisters, Barbara Vasbinder and Penny Neff; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Messenger Street Church of God, Johnstown. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
