WOZNAK – Mary P. (Mahanski) 91, passed away suddenly March 2, 2018 at home. Born November 11, 1926 in Colver, daughter of the late Peter and Cecelia (Lyzinski) Mahanski. Last surviving member of her immediate family, she is preceded in death by husband Charles, who passed away in 1998; sisters: Julia (Joseph) Puch and Virginia (Ralph) Ptak, and infant sister Irene. She is survived by her children: Carol (Joseph) Olstein, Pittsburgh; Barbara (Charles) Banks, Oak Hill, Virginia; and Ronald Woznak, of Nanty Glo. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church where she had served as an office volunteer and had worked on all three church directories in years past. She enjoyed Bingo, taking bus trips to the area casinos and camping with her family. She was also a past member Nanty Glo Borough Council. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday at St. Mary’s Church, the Rev. Fr. Leonard Voytek, celebrant. Interment at Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. Mary loved live flowers, in lieu of cut flowers, the family encourages live arrangements.
