JANIS – Francis L. “Luke”, 71, of Ebensburg and formerly of Nanty Glo, passed away August 19. 2017 at Cambria Care Center. Born April 19, 1946, son of the late Frank and Rose (Message) Janis. Preceded in death by his wife Mary Jean. Survived by daughter Marcee McClinsey and grandchildren of Nanty Glo; sister Neva Stephens, Arizona; brother Ronald J. Janis, Altoona; and half-brother Roger Janis of West Virginia. Luke had worked in the coal mines, he was a talented mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with his Monte Carlo. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
