Obituary of Donna Louise Gore

GORE – Donna Louise (Sebulsky), 83, of Jackson Twp., went home to be with the Lord, Dec. 3, 2017. Born Feb. 18, 1934 in Vintondale, daughter of the late Frank and Edith Sebulsky. Preceded in death by husband, Russell A.; son, Russell J.; brothers, Bill, Bob, Wayne and Dick; and sister, Francis Oravec. Survived by sons, Jeffrey (Susan); Gregory (Sharon); and Ronald. 8 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Jean Yosie; brother, George (Irene) Sebulsky; and numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was a member of the Nanty Glo Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, where she served for many years in a number of capacities including trustee and deaconess. She loved directing the choir and putting together Christmas and Easter cantatas. Donna had the true heart of a servant and wherever a need was found, you could find her there. She was active for many years swimming, cross country skiing and mountain biking. She loved to camp and had a love for the outdoors. Known lovingly as “Grandma Clorox” to her family, she loved having everything organized and clean. Donna loved her family and she served them with her whole heart. The only thing she loved more than her family was JESUS. Today we have peace knowing that Donna is in the presence of the Lord she loved and served; that she is singing in an angelic choir and she is once again whole. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo; and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Nanty Glo Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Pastor Bud Vogel and Pastor Kirk Rowland (Donna’s grandson), officiating. Interment, Pike Brethren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna’s memory may be made to Nanty Glo C. & M.A. Church.
