Obituary of Christopher C. Straple

STRAPLE – Christopher C., 20, of Wesley Chapel, died Oct. 14, 2009. Born Jan. 5, 1989 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Robert L. Teeter and paternal grandmother, Ruby L. Straple. Survived by maternal grandmother, Margaret Teeter; paternal grandfather, Albert E. Straple, Sr; mother, Luann Teeter and her fiancé, Andrew Molinich; brother, Koty Straple and sister, Katie Straple; uncles, Robert J. Teeter and his fiancé Patty; Randy (Diane) Teeter; Roger (Christine) Teeter; and Ryan (Paula) Teeter; and aunt, Lori (Bob) Seigh. Also survived by father, Albert E. Straple, Jr. and his wife, Crystal; sister, Amanda Smith and her sons, Connor and Logan; brother, Albert Straple III; step sister, Lacie (Kevin) Findley; step brother, Scottie Kephart and his daughter Marley; uncle, Benjamin and his friend Janell; numerous great aunts and uncles,cousins and special friends, Justin Bartlebaugh, Jesse Wright, Nicole Skelley; and numerous other close friends. A 2007 graduate of Central Cambria High School and Admiral Peary Vo-Tech. An avid Steeler fan and outdoorsman; football player and wrestler; and won a trophy for power lifting. Christopher will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, the Rev. John Weaver and Rev. Martin Cingle, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christopher’s memory are asked to be made to his family.
