WEGES - Betty (Evanego), 86, of Old Nanty Glo Road, Nanty Glo, passed away January 20, 2007 at Beverly Healthcare- Richland. Born September 27, 1920 in Conemaugh, daughter of the late George and Verna (Vagustsky) Evanego. Preceded in death by husband Frank J., brothers Michael, Stephen and George, John and Alex, and sister Vera. Survived by children Francis (Linda Johnson), Harrisburg; Deborah (Thomas) Fedora, Twin Rocks; and Janet Popich, Nanty Glo. Grandchildren Christopher Fedora, Holly Soflarsky, Nichole and Jennifer Popich, Stacie Gembe and Michael Weges, Candace Lee, Pamela Mc Clain, Karyn Shellburg, and Great Granddaughters Brittany Fedora, Kaylee Soflarsky and Lillyan Weges. Sister of Andy Evanego, of Michigan and Marge Keith, Mundys Corner. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, the Rev. Paul Robine officiating. Committal St. Marys Cemetery, Nanty Glo.
