KRAWCION – Maria, 85, of Nanty Glo, passed away Oct. 28, 2012 at home. Born April 22, 1927 in Germany, daughter of the late Karl and Minna (Frankle) Frank. Preceded in death by first husband, John O’Farrell, second husband, Frank Krawcion; and sister, Alfreda Wolbert. Survived by sons, Frank Jr. (Jean) Krawcion and John Krawcion. Grandchildren, Ethan James, Jordan Marie, and Jacob Frank Krawcion. Sister of Martha Loffelman; Irma Soflarsky; Karl (Judy) Frank; Ursula (Duane) Deetscreek; and Manfred (Norma) Frank. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her special friend, Millie Fenchak; and her companion, Snowball. Member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Church, Nanty Glo, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. Retired from Ebensburg Center after 25 years of service. Maria enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where Parastas will be sung at 7 p.m. that evening. Panachida at 9:30a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10a.m. at St. Nicholas Church, Rev. Robert Oravetz and Rev. Wesley Mash, concelebrants. Committal to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Nanty Glo. In lieu of flowers donations in Maria’s memory may be made to her church or to Horizon Hospice of Altoona.
