BROWN – Jack D., 84, of Vinco, passed away Aug. 8, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center. Born Nov. 13, 1924 in Jackson Twp., son of the late Dewey and Hazel (Kerr) Brown. Preceded in death by wife, Goldie(Wood) and brothers, Charles and Robert.Survived by sons, Jerry and wife Peggy; and Richard and wife Carol. Grandsons, Jerry, Jack, Richard, Jason and Keith. 9 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.Member of Laurel Mountain Bible Church. US Navy veteran. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, Pastor Ron Peoples, officiating. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Germany. In lieu of flowers donations in Jack’s memory may be made to his church. Military Rites by Nanty Glo, Vintondale and Twin Rocks Ritual Team.
