MOTTIN - Gladys H., 82, of Vintondale, passed away October 5, 2012 at home. Born July 6, 1930 in Heilwood, daughter of the late Ward and Vira (Holmes) Uncapher. Preceded in death by husbands: Raymond “Frenchie” Hugar and David “Peg” Mottin, and sisters Stella and Mary Fetterman, and Hazel Uncapher. Survived by children: Joanne, wife of Kevin Malloy, Vintondale and Anthony, married to the former Loretta Colangelo, Dayton Ohio. Also survived by Raymond’s children: Raymond “Sonny” (Janice Rager) Hugar, Vintondale and Maryann (Ken) Stone, of Oil City; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and sister Charlotte Crawford, of Illinios. Gladys had served as a volunteer at Conemaugh Hospital and Meals on Wheels and enjoyed time at the Nanty Glo Senior Citizens Center. Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting and doing crafts of all types. She also loved tending to her cat’s: Frosty, Casper, and Daisy. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, the Rev. Mel Nycum, officiating. Interment at Dilltown United Methodist Cemetery.
