RAY - William C. "Bill", 83, of Nanty Glo, passed away April 3, 2007 at home. Born September 14, 1923 in Nanty Glo, son of the late William and Christina (Barr) Ray. Preceded in death by infant sisters Shirley and Christina, sister Phyllis Lekawa, nephews Shaun Patrick Ray and William Patrick Sanderson and brother-in-law William Sanderson. Survived by sisters , Betty Sanderson, New Jersey; Ruth (Paul) Serluco, Lower Burell, PA; brothers John (Viola); Mel (Joyce) and Bob (Mary), all of Nanty Glo. Also survived by brother-in-law, Dr. Thaddeus Lekawa, of York. Loving uncle and great uncle to numerous neices and nephews. Special friends Karen and Jeff Kennedy. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Friends will be received from 6-8 pm on Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. David S. Peles, celebrant. Committal Pike Brethren Cemetery, Mundys Corner. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to his church.
