STEPHENS - Robert L. "Bob," 68, of Mundys Corner, passed away April 28, 2007. Son of the late Robert and June (Stiffler) Stephens. Survived by children, Colleen of Aliquippa, Pa.; Robert of Florida; Lynndyll of Texas; and Esther of Florida; grandchildren, Christine and Kateri; brothers, Ben (Linda) Stephens of Arkansas and Tom (Frankie) Stephens of Alabama; companion and friend of 10 years, Jean Wicoff, and special friends, Jason, Marianne, Elisabeth and Delainey Dodson. He was a Penn State graduate. A former Jackson Township supervisor, with 5 1⁄2 years' service. A U.S. Army veteran, member of Nanty Glo VFW Post 3489 and Nanty Glo American Legion. A member of Unified Sportsmen of Pa., Jackson Township Rod and Gun Club, NRA, Nanty Glo Museum and Historical Society, American-Polish Citizens Club of Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors and Jackson Township Senior Citizens Club. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, and from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pike Grace Brethren Church, Mundys Corner, the Rev. Dr. Rick Clark officiating. Interment, Pike Brethren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
