PALKO - Margaret E. (Bakos), 89, of Johnstown, passed away June 28, 2007, at The Lutheran Home at Johnstown. Born April 29, 1918, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Joseph and Suzanna (Nagy) Bakos. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph S. Palko; infant son, James Selak; and 12 brothers and sisters. Survived by sons, Daniel S. (Joy Hubbard) Selak, Austin, Texas; Joseph G. (Janice Phillips) Selak, Johnstown; the Rev. John J. (Gail Kreger) Palko, Lilly; Michael (Cheryl Sommer) Palko, Williamsport; and Michel "Mitch" (Aniko Dawson) Palko, Clearwater, Fla. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Sister of Elizabeth "Betty" McNamara of Johnstown. Member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mundys Corner. Owner/operator of Margaret's Beauty Shoppe for 25 years. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, and from 9:30 until time of funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Pastor Lynn M. Miller and the Rev. John J. Palko (Margaret's son) officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's memory, may be made to her church or The Lutheran Home at Johnstown
