FURMAN – Donald J. “ Don”, 76, of Jackson Twp., passed away Oct. 17, 2009 at home. Born July 6, 1933 in Johnstown, son of the late Michael and Elizabeth Furman. Preceded in death by sister, Betty Buchan. Survived by wife, the former Elaine Fitz, and children, Gary (Pamela); Tammy (Cuba) Szekeresh; Patsy (Pete) Pagano; Betty “Boo” Furman (Jerry Burke). Grandsons, Gary Furman, Jr; Ben (Shauna) Furman; and Don (Lynnann) Lybarger. Great Grandchildren, Blake, Brayde, Brooklynn, Abby, Michael and Zachary. Retired truck driver for Ward Trucking with 31 years of service. A farmer for 39 years. US Army veteran. Member L.O.O.M., Lodge 207, Nanty Glo. Member of Sinnemahoning Sportsmens Association. Avid hunter and fly fisherman. There will be no viewing. Services at the convenience of the family. Donations in Don’s memory may be made to Laurel Mt. Bible Church. Arrangements by the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
