HILL – Ruthanne, 78, of Jackson Twp., went to her heavenly home Feb. 10, 2019. Born July 16, 1940 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, Clayton Ray and Ann (Ray) Deetscreek; stepfather, Nelo Deetscreek; beloved husband, George “Snook”; beloved daughter, Terry McPhee; and brothers, Jerry and James Ray. Survived by beloved daughters, Laurie (Raymond) Swartz; Susan (Michael) Lee; and Wendy (Michael) Bush. Beloved grandchildren, Nicole (Mark) Berkheimer, David (Danielle) McPhee, Daniel McPhee, Amanda (Brandon) Croyle, Michael (Casey) Lee, Sara (Michael) McDermott, Hillary (Aaron) Lee and Mathew (Rachael) Bracken. Beloved great grandchildren, Bella, Aedan, Ava, Ana, Jaelyn, Makenna, Bryce and Macey, due April 2019. Also survived by sisters, Colleen (Walt) Galko and Karen (Allan) Young; brother, Thomas (Roxanne) Ray; sisters in law, Linda, Regina and Sheila; brother in law, Earl (Carol); and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruthanne attended Nanty Glo Church of the Brethren. Retired from the dietary department at Ebensburg Center. Ruthanne loved making fleece blankets, cooking and baking; going to the casinos and playing slots, but most of all she loved her family and always put them first. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Pastor Linda Beachley, officiating. Interment, United Brethren Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruthanne’s memory may be made to Nanty Glo Church of the Brethren.
