Kelley - Nellie, 97, a resident of Allegheny Lutheran Home, Johnstown, formerly of Ebensburg died peacefully January 23, 2007. Born October 10, 1909 in Portage, daughter of the late John A. and Louisa (Lloyd) Hibbard. Preceded in death by husband Ralph O. Kelley; granddaughter Jacklyn (Kelley) Howard, brothers: Herbert, John, Ernest, and Walter Hibbard; and sisters Gladys Campbell and Annie Vandenburg-Mileski. Survived by loving children: John F. "Jack", married to the former Dorisjean Forcellini, Nanty Glo; and Nellie L., wife of David Hakanen, Titusville, Florida. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and brother, Rev. Arthur Hibbard, of Fort Myers, Florida. A lifetime member of the Nanty Glo Church of the Brethren, she had also attended the Park Avenue Baptist Church when she wintered in Titusville, Florida. Nellie enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and needlepoint until the age of ninety-four. Each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were fortunate to have received an afghan that she made. At Nellie's request there will be no viewing or visitation. Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown. Contributions in Nellie's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
