CARMEL - Lillian J. (Hawksworth), 87, Arcadia, Fla., formerly of Jackson Township, went to be with the Lord May 25, 2009. Born Jan. 19, 1922, daughter of the late James and Alice (Hogan) Hawksworth. Preceded in death by husband of 64 years, Guy Edward Carmel, and brothers, John and William Hawksworth. Survived by sons: Edward, married to the former Peggy Conrad, Vinco; James, married to the former Helen Schneider, Mundys Corner; and Perry, Arcadia, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; also brother, George Hawksworth, Portage. Lillian enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and camping with her family. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. John Snyder, officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn.
