Hullihen - Russell H., 75, of Ebensburg, formerly of Nanty Glo, died November 5, 2006 at Laurel Crest Manor. Born November 18, 1930 in Bethel, son of the late William B. and Amanda A. (Grove) Hullihen. Preceded in death by brother William E., and sister Mary Martha and her husband Al Allor. Survived by wife, the former Betty M. Stiffler; and children: Judy, wife of Ralph Baldish, Strongstown; Evelyn, wife of Tim Parkins, Ebensburg; Nancy, wife of Brian Sowolla, Revloc; Kimberly J., wife of Richard Lamer, Elton; Dennis Hullihen, Ebensburg; and Rev. James, married to the former Ivy Orsborn, Shirleysburg; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers: Samuel D. Hullihen, South Fork; Joseph L. Hullihen, Newfield, New Jersey; Robert D. Hullihen, Vineland, New Jersey; and sister-in-law, Dorothy (Miller) Hullihen of Michigan. Member of Nanty Glo Church of the Brethren. A Korean War veteran, Russell was a member of the Nanty Glo American Legion and VFW, as well as Twin Rocks VFW where he had been active in the military ritual team. Also a member of American-Polish Citizens Club, Nanty Glo. He was retired as a heavy equipment operator for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation at Johnstown. Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, the Rev. Donald Peters, officiating. Interment at United Brethren Cemetery, Belsano.
