TRUEMAN – John "Bill," 68, Colver Road, Ebensburg, died June 24, 2009, at home, where he raised and trained his beautiful horses and lambs. Born April 8, 1941, in Cambria Township, son of William E. and Margaret (Donahue) Trueman. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Sarah Jane Becquet. Survived by wife, the former Adeline Binaut; children, Richard Powell, and wife, Angelia, Cherry Tree; Timothy Powell, Ebensburg; Tracey, and husband, Robert Millward, Mesa, Ariz.; and Conny Revesz, Colver; grandchildren, Tim, Miranda, Mathew, Justin and Sarah; and five great-grandchildren. Brother of Katherine Harms, Jacksonville, Fla.; Robert, New Enterprise; and Edward, Loretto. Also survived by his pet dog, Imp. Bill taught so many kids throughout the years to ride ad love animals. Bill was an avid hunter and those who ever hunted with him couldn't keep up. He loved NASCAR racing. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially by his beloved Jack Russell that he liked to call Imp. He was an Army veteran and retired from Johnstown Corp. and U.S. Steel. Bill belonged to the American Quarter Horse Association and was a member of American Steel Workers Union. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and from 7 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 8:30 p.m. Monday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, the Rev. William Thwing, officiating.
