Obituary of Raymond A. Bremer

BREMER - Raymond A., 63, Royalwood Drive, Ebensburg, passed away July 15, 2009 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Born October 31, 1945 in Johnstown, son of the late Alfred and Joanna (Born) Bremer. Preceded in death by wife, the former Sharon Mickle, and brother Louis. Survived by children: Chad Bremer, Ebensburg; Jill, wife of Brian Felicetti, Mars; Leigh, wife of Brock Holland, Loretto; and three granddaughters Peyton & Reese Felicetti, and Avery Holland. Brother of Eileen Bremer, Hawaii; Bernadette Kier, Johnstown; Teresa Dengler, Baltimore; Marian Shorts, Holsopple; William Bremer, Johnstown, and Marie Bremer Gordon, California. A graduate of Bishop McCort High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Raymond was retired from Central Cambria High School where he taught business and computers. He was a member of the Greater Johnstown Touring Club and served as a motorcycle safety instructor. He also served as an official for PIAA. A loving father and grandfather, Ray enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Deacon Thomas Buige, officiating. Interment at Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
