SCAPPINO – Vincent Francis "Bunny," 73, Nanty Glo, died Aug. 3, 2009, at his home. Born Jan. 9, 1936, in Nanty Glo, son of the late Carlo and Anne T. (Szabonya) Scappino. Preceded in death by infant brother, Francis. Brother of Mary Delesky, Nanty Glo; Mario C. (Carole), Clarksville, Va.; Aldo (Virginia), Sycamore, Ill.; Angelina Tomlinson (Robert), Pouqson, Va.; Antoinette Lundberg, Nanty Glo; and Frank (Joyce Ann), Nanty Glo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo. He was employed by Hoffman Cabinet Co. and New Hall Refinery, both of Los Angeles, Calif. He was a Marine Corps veteran. Member of Moose Lodge 207, VFW Post 3489, Legion Post 619 and American Polish Club, all of Nanty Glo. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Father Martin A. Cingle, celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Military service will be conducted by local veterans organizations.
