EVANIESKO – Betty (Gates), 75, Nanty Glo, died Aug. 16, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 15, 1933, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (McKavich) Gates. Preceded in death by husband, James; son, Michael; and infant brother, Joseph. Survived by sons, James (Paulette), and Louis, and fiancee, Carol, all of Nanty Glo, and Joseph, and fiancee, Valerie, and daughter, Haley, Vintondale; grandchildren, Andrew, Diane, Amanda, Michael and Tony; sister, Theresa Forcellini; and sisters-in-law, Sr. Shirley and Irene. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo. Betty was an avid cook and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Father Martin A. Cingle. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Nanty Glo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Church. Boswer-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, is in charge of arrangements.
