Obituary of Emma E. Rozsi-McGowan

McGOWAN-ROZSI - Emma E. "Dimp" (McKeel), 81, of Nanty Glo, passed away Nov. 16, 2006 at home, surrounded by her family. Born May 29, 1925 in Indiana County, daughter of the late John and Besse (Jenkins) McKeel. Preceded in death by husband, Ernest McGowan, an infant daughter, Patty Ann Rozsi, brothers Ray, Donald and Carl and sisters in law, Kathryn McGowan and Alice Johnston. Survived by children, Betty Lou Swanhart, Mundys Corner; Mary Jane (Kenneth) Carney; Ronald (Beverly) Rozsi, both of Nanty Glo; Donald (Louise) Rozsi, Belsano; Herbert Rozsi, Nanty Glo; and Joseph (Lisa) McCullough, of Virginia. 14 grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, sister, Phyllis (Bob) Hagen, Johnstown; brother in law, Harry O. McGowan, New York; sisters in law, Mary Mc Keel, Nanty Glo, Jean and Doris Mc Keel, both of Johnstown, and special friend Agnes Blair, Nanty Glo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Retired nurses aide with several years service from Laurel Crest Manor, Ebensburg. Emma was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc.,Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, Pastor Ian MacLellan, officiating. Interment UB Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers, donations in Emma's memory may be made to Conemaugh Hospice.
