STORMER - Leta Evelyn (Byron), 93 of the Presbyterian Home, Johnstown, formerly of Stormer Road, Ebensburg, passed away peacefully September 15, 2009 at the home. Born July 28, 1916 in Cresson, daughter of the late Edward and Hazel (Mentch) Byron. Last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her husband Gerald D. Stormer; son Dale H., sisters Lenora B. Griffith and Verna E. Blatchford; and brothers Warren Denver and Leonard Byron. Survived by children: Jerry Dean, married to the former Faye E. Nelson, Punxsutawney; Sandra K., wife of Thomas J. Jennings, Gaithersburg, Maryland; JoAnn, wife of Thomas P. Weber, Sewickley; Leonard "Craig", married to the former Michele L. Hofecker, Nanty Glo; and Thomas S., married to the former Wendy A. Peeler, Allison Park; also survived by 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law Sue Stormer, of Colver. Leta was retired from the Personnel Department at the Ebensburg Center (State School). Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, followed by the funeral service at 8:00 p.m., the Rev. Robert Kristoff, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
