STARUCH – Mary, 87, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Colver, died Sept. 17, 2009, at Garvey Manor. Born Dec. 16, 1921, in Jenners, daughter of Nick and Mary (Vozar) Staruch. Preceded in death by parents and brothers and sisters, George, Ann Jingelski, Elizabeth Bell, John, Steve, Mike and Eva Staruch. Survived by brother, Joseph, Ebensburg; sister, Margaret Feriola, Long Island, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews. Retired from the Federal Government in Washington, D.C. Army WAC veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be said Sunday. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Entombment, Holy Name Mausoleum.
