Obituary of William Todd Harteis

HARTEIS – William Todd, 44, Ebensburg, died Sept. 18, 2009, at home. Born Jan. 27, 1965, in Spangler, son of William F. and Nancy M. (McDowell) Harteis. Preceded in death by daughter, Corinne Rae Harteis; paternal grandfather, Lawrence Harteis; and maternal grandparents, Denver and Gladys (Mitchell) McDowell. Survived by grandmother, Ruth Harteis; parents; wife, the former Colleen Walters; and children, Erin Mae, Emily Ann, William Ray and Noah Todd, all at home. Brother of Rebecca (Mark) DeYulis and Dana Kovash, both of Ebensburg; Carrie (Douglas) Miller, Cecil; and Neil Harteis, Ketchikan, Alaska. Employed by Worklink Staffing, Ebensburg. Past president of Ebensburg Kiwanis, president of Pennsylvania Trappers Association District 5, member of National Trappers Association and Carpenters Union Local 2275. Todd loved his family and friends the most. He was an avid trapper and hunter and enjoyed the Steelers and Penguins. Family will receive friends from 6:30 until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, in the Holy Name Church Narthex, Ebensburg.
