EGET – John Jr., 68, Nanty Glo, died Sept. 21, 2009, at home. Born Nov. 19, 1940, in Nanty Glo, son of the late John and Mary (Greenawalt) Eget. Preceded in death by sisters, Elizabeth Kuzilla and Joanne Decker. Brother of Mary (Richard) Yates, West Virginia; Joseph (Susan), Davidsville; Helen (Leonard) Holdsworth, Altoona; Barb (Steve) Szymusiak, Nanty Glo; and Cathy (Milton) Condo, Nanty Glo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He attended St. Mary's Church. Retired from Bethlehem Steel and was an Army veteran. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed walking and gardening. Member of Nanty Glo American Legion Post 619. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo. Funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Martin A. Cingle, celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by local veterans associations.
