SHEESLEY – Mary Agnes "Becky" (Girdwood), 67, Vintondale, died Sept. 20, 2009, at Windber Hospice. Born Dec. 26, 1941, in Coalburn, Scotland, daughter of the late William and Margaret (McLennan) Girdwood. Preceded in death by son, James Jr. Survived by loving husband of 46 years, James; children, Perry W. (Elena), Nanty Glo; Ian (Andrea), Vintondale; and Dawn Marie, at home; and grandchildren, Matthew and Shaelynn. Her love for nursing started in Scotland. She then worked for Hannaman Hospital in Philadelphia, and retired from Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg, after 20 years of service. She was an avid reader and loved to take care of the elderly, and loved plants and flowers. A wonderful and caring wife and mother who lit up the lives of all who knew her, we will miss her forever. At Becky's request, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held for family and friends who knew her at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Vintondale, the Rev. Richard Stock, officiating. Interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery.
