AMBRISCO - Margaret T. “Peggy”, 60 of Cherry Street, Windber, formerly of Johnstown and Ebensburg, passed away September 29, 2009 at home after a long battle with M.S. Born October 22, 1948 in Spangler, daughter of the late John A. and Verna (Ivory) Ambrisco. Survived by brothers and sisters: John E., Niagra Falls, New York; James F. married to the former Joan Neely; Joseph, married to the former Beverly Stoltz, all of Ebensburg; Barbara J., wife of Ronald Bernardo, Windber; William, Mountainview, California; Robert G., married to the former Ann Boslet; and Patrick A., married to the former Mary Ann Campbell, all of Ebensburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg. She had been employed for many years for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation. An avid photographer, she was a former member of the Johnstown Photography Club. Peggy was an avid sports fan, she loved to follow the Pirates and the Steelers and in her younger days enjoyed horseback riding, softball and volleyball. Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, officiating. Interment at Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy’s memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
