BILLETDEAUX – Alexandra V. "Sandy," 76, Ebensburg, died Nov. 16, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 4, 1933, in Philadelphia, daughter of William and Hilda (Coyle) Mandes. Preceded in death by parents and son, James. Survived by husband, Donald; children, Julie, wife of Fred Heinlein, Ebensburg; Mary, wife of Brian Weston; Joe, married to the former Susan Spirawk; and John, married to the former Cyndi Colberg, all of Pittsburgh; and grandchildren, Jenny, Dan (and wife, Nicole) and Jackie Heinlein; Eric, Kathleen and Laura Weston; Anna and Jack Billetdeaux; and Paige, Alexa, Olivia and Sam Billetdeaux. Sister of Stephen Mandes, and wife, Sylvia, Bristow, Md.; and sister-in- law, Susan Mapes, Somerset. A graduate of the former Ebensburg Cambria High School and Mercy School of Nursing, Johnstown, and she worked at Mercy Hospital. Retired from the office of Drs. Seifert and Soisson, Johnstown. Member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court 680, Ebensburg. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Wednesday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or to Holy Name School Angel Fund in Sandy's memory. Catholic Daughter's rosary will be held at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
