HOOVER - Clair G. "Midge", 66, of Colver, passed away February 12, 2010 at home. Born January 18, 1944 in Ebensburg son of the late Merle and Jane (Miller) Hoover. Preceded in death by wife, the former Ruth A. Cotton, who passed away September 11, 2009, and sister Maryann Thomas. Survived by daughter, Cathy, wife of Richard Sukenik, and granddaughter Jordyn, all of Richland; and brothers and sisters: Myra (Louis) Mangiacarne of Altoona; Lee (Mickey) Hoover of Windsor, Missouri; Charles "Jocko" Hoover, Ebensburg; Merle (Nancy) Hoover, Nanty Glo, Margaret (Jim) Tully, Hollidaysburg; and Theresa Dinsmore of Columbus, Ohio. Retired from the Ebensburg Center (State School). Clair was a Korean War Army veteran and member of the Colver Sportsman Club. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, Deacon Tom Buige, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clair’s memory may be made to the Colver Volunteers Fire Company & 40-tech.
