KOVACH – Rose (Sabo), 81, Nanty Glo, died Feb. 24, 2010, at home. Born March 22, 1929, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Emery and Helen (Zonin) Kovach. Preceded in death by husband, Stanley; brothers, Joe Jr. and Emery "Moe"; and sister, Tootsie. Survived by children, Stanley (Martha), Glen Gardner, N.J.; David, New Jersey; and Tina Schilling (Greg "Snags" Sr.), Nanty Glo; grandchildren, Stanley and Rebecca Kovach; David, Andrew and Michelle Kovach; Gregory (Christina) Schilling Jr.; and Sarah Robertson (Sean); great-grandchildren, Shyana and Sadye Robertson and Bryar and Gregory Schilling III; and brothers and sisters, Dolly (Edward) Younkin, Strongstown; Helen (Buddy) McMullen, Nanty Glo; Stephen (Barbara), New Jersey; and Cookie (Robert) Silko, Nanty Glo. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo, and Nanty Glo VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She worked at the Super Diner in Hillside, N.J. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where a vigil service will be held Friday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo, the Rev. Martin A. Cingle, celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Nanty Glo.
