KOTELNICKI – Edward F., 66, Mineral Point, died March 6, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 19, 1944, in Twin Rocks, son of the late John and Helen (Zeglen) Kotelnicki. Preceded in death by brother, Joseph, and sisters, Bernice, Lillian and Rosemary. Survived by wife, the former Jessianne McCullough, Mineral Point; children, Susan Kotelnicki (Vince), Ebensburg; Edward "Fred" (Donna), Strongstown; and Heidi (Brad) Cobaugh, Mundys Corner; grandchildren, Mandi (Luke) Golden, Jackie Springer (Steve) and Alyson and Logan Cobaugh; stepgrandchildren, Rick Walker and Nichole Simmons; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Lili and Maggie Springer; stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaylob and Aiden Walker and Levi Marsh; brother, John (Pat), Michigan; sister, Helen Marie (Henry) McHugh, Nanty Glo; and sister-in-law, Delores Kotelnicki, Indiana. Member of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, Johnstown. Retired coal miner and worked for DRC. U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He gave blood and blood platelets in honor of his brother, Joe, and all those in need. He considered doing for others as his obligation to serving his God. He loved his church family and all who knew him loved him. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Michael Christine and the Rev. Ronald Beachley. Interment, EUB Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Locust Grove Church of the Brethren or the American Red Cross. Veterans service will be conducted by the local veterans organizations.
