BIZAK – Andrew, 89, Ebensburg, died March 19, 2010, in East Carroll Township. Born Dec. 24, 1920, in Central City, son of Frank and Ann (Perock) Bizak. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Alice; sisters, Stella, Mary and Katie; and brothers, John, Frank, Mickey and Metro. Survived by children, Robert, married to the former Leigh Ann Wadium, Huntingdon, and Alice, wife of John Cramer, Ebensburg; grandchildren, Jackie Mullen, John Cramer, Alicia Kilraine, Melissa (Bizak) Long and Jennifer (Bizak) Switzler; and nine great-grandchildren. Brother of Annie Meskavich, Mechanicsburg. Army veteran of World War II as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps and was a personal driver for Gen. Turner serving in China, Burma and the India Theater. Life member of VFW Post 4963, Ebensburg. Past president and member of UMWA Local 850, Revloc. Member of Masonic Lodge, Ebensburg. Retired from Revloc Mine 32 with 38 years of service. Andy enjoyed hunting, fishing and flea markets. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Monday. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant. Interment, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg.
