MATEVISH – David J., 66, Ebensburg, died March 29, 2010, at home. Born March 27, 1944, in Philipsburg, Pa., son of the late David A. and Doris I. (Hagerman) Matevish. Survived by wife of 45 years, the former Anita Blososky; daughters, Gina, wife of John Reinhold, Seminole, Fla.; Mary C., wife of Allen Rogers, Pleasanton, Texas; and Bobbie, wife of Steven Bray, Richland; and grandchildren, Emily and Sarah Reinhold; Zachary Fox; Allen Rogers; and Alexa, Adam, Aryn, Andrew, Ashlee and Aimee Bray. Brother of Robert (Carol), Ebensburg; Richard (Patricia), Colver; Raymond (Karen), Johnstown; and Mary (Michael) McManus, Lock Haven. Also survived by Justin, Reva and Lance Rogers. A U.S. Navy veteran, having served on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. Retired police chief of Ebensburg Borough. Former manager of Ace Hardware, Ebensburg. Member of American Legion Post 363 and LOOM Lodge 681, both of Ebensburg, and NRA. Life member of Mainline Police Association. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Monday. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Holy Name School Angel Fund in Dave’s memory. Mainline Police service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, with veteran’s service Monday evening.
