ANSELMI – Rev. Albert J., 75, Emeigh, died April 2, 2010, at Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, N.Y. Born July 12, 1934, in Emeigh, son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Harmotta) Anselmi. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Samuel, Paul and Stephen Anselmi. Survived by brothers, Joseph, Mentor, Ohio; Peter, Willoughby, Ohio; and Victor, Hermitage; and numerous nieces and nephews. A U.S. Army veteran. He attended St. Mary’s Seminary in Michigan. Retired Catholic priest after serving many churches including SS. Peter & Paul, Phillipsburg; St. Benedict, Johnstown; Most Holy Trinity and St. Dismas, both in Huntingdon; St. Mary, Shade Gap; St. Thomas Aquinas, Ashville; Queen of Archangels, Snow Shoe; St. Vincent De Paul, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; and St. Michael, West Salisbury. Chaplain at SCI-Huntingdon, Salisbury Penitentiary, Bon Secours-Holy Family Hospital and Altoona Hospital. Member of Knights of Columbus. Father Albert J. Anselmi “Father Al” was more than just a priest, brother and uncle. He was a friend to everyone he encountered. Father was always willing and able to help out his fellow man. He made friends everywhere he traveled. He is responsible for bringing many souls to God. Father is loved by many and will be missed by all. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where Altar and Rosary service will be held at 3 p.m., followed by vigil for the deceased. Visitation also will be held from 10 a.m. until time of concelebrated funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Committal, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Northern Cambria.
