Obituary of Elizabeth Elliott

ELLIOTT – Elizabeth (Holtz), 97, Nanty Glo, died April 12, 2010, at Cambria Care Center. Born Dec. 1, 1912, in Patton, daughter of the late Peter and Cecelia (Long) Holtz. Preceded in death by husband, Donald; and brothers and sisters, Bernard, Regis, Dorothy "Dot" Greiner, Rose Farabaugh, Rita Bender, Ralph, Cleophus and Kenneth. Survived by children, Donald Elliott, married to the former Gina (Vasquez), Denver, Colo.; and Brenda, wife of Mark Selders, Westmont; grandchildren, Mark A. Selders, married to the former Renee (Doyka), Johnstown; and Nicole, wife of Stephen Robson, Johnstown; and great-grandchildren, Aiden and Conner Selders. Sister of Anna Marie Carlson, Baltimore, Md.; Raymond (Florence), Florida; Loretta Safko, Portage; Evelyn (Paul) McGough, Patton; Hilda Wills, Altoona; and Louise Byrne, Ebensburg; and sister-in-law, Mary Louise Holtz, Patton. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo. Betty was a professional seamstress for many local residents. Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where liturgical wake will be held Wednesday. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Martin A. Cingle and the Rev. David Peles, celebrant. Interment to follow at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
