FERGUSON - Paul G., Sr., 79 of New Germany Road, Ebensburg, passed away peacefully May 2, 2010 at home. Born August 3, 1930 in Arcadia, son of the late William and Jessie (Buterbaugh) Ferguson. Last surviving member of his immediate family, preceded in death by sister Marion and brothers Bill and Nick. Survived by wife, the former Mary Catherine Rice, to whom he was married 61 years and these children: Paul (Patty-Jo) Ferguson, Rick Ferguson, all of Ebensburg, Cathy (David) DeLattre, Summerhill, and grandchildren: Cheryl, Paul, James, Nicholas, Heather, David and Alex, and great-grandchildren: Amanda, John, Jason, Isabella, and Isaac. Paul was an avid buck and turkey hunter and a lifetime member of the N.R.A. He retired as a heavy equipment operator for Bethlehem Steel Corp. where he worked for 34 and a half years. A former member of the Springfield Indian Motorcycle Club of America. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Pastor Roger Johnson, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Allegheny Valley School, Patricia Miller Hillman Campus, 315 West Prospect Ave. Pittsburgh, PA, 15234.
