CHUTE - Gwen (Dunwiddie), 99, of Wexford, formerly of Nanty Glo, went to be with the Lord April 29, 2005, at Pristine Pines, Wexford. Born Feb. 7, 1906, in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late James W. and Emma (Botwright) Dunwiddie. Preceded in death by grandson, Ralph M. Shaffer III; 12 sisters; and two brothers. Survived by husband of 79 1/2 years, Harold E. Chute, and children, Harold E. Chute Jr., Glenshaw; James W., and wife, Barbara (Lindamood), Lancaster; and Lois J. Woodhall and Phyllis E. Shaffer, both of North Hills, Pittsburgh; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and sister, Edith Roberts, Florida. Gwen was active in the Baptist churches. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Phillip King officiating. Interment, Lloyd Cemetery.
