CHUTE - Harold E., Sr., 101, of Wexford, formerly of Ebensburg, went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2005 at Pristine Pines, Pittsburgh. Born March 3, 1904 in Ebensburg, son of the late William F. and Sarah (Hussey) Chute. Preceded in death by wife of 79 1/2 years, the former Gwen (Dunwiddie) Chute, who died on April 29th, grandson Ralph M. Shaffer III and sister Vivian E. "June" Johns. Survived by children: Harold E.Chute, Jr., Glenshaw; James W. and wife Barbara of Lancaster; Lois J. Woodhall and Phyllis E. Shaffer, both of North Hills, Pittsburgh. Also 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Harold was active in the Baptist Church. He retired from the Western Pennsylvania Motor Club, where he served as a night dispatcher.
