HOLTZ - Helen Z. (McCombie), 90, Alexandria, Va., died May 10, 2005, at Inova Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria. Born Feb. 11, 1915, in Spangler, Pa., daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Welsh) McCombie. Preceded in death by husband, Paul O. Holtz; sister, Mary Raymond; and brothers, William, Joseph, Edward, Francis and John McCombie. Survived by daughters, Susan Nicharot, Bethlehem, Pa., and Kathleen Deal, Alexandria; sons, Lawrence Holtz, St. Johnsbury, Vt., and Jerome Holtz, Maplewood, N.J.; sister, Jeanne Wolf, Ebensburg; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Helen was retired from General Electric. A graduate of Spangler High School. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where vigil prayer service will be held that evening. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg. Committal, Holy Cross Cemetery, Spangler.
