GETTY - Sarah Mae "Sally", 97 of Lemon Drop Road, Ebensburg, passed away peacefully, November 3, 2010 at home. Born December 12, 1912 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Harry and Sarah (Callio) Skiles. Preceded in death by husband Ben A.D. Getty; sons-in-law John Kimball and Donald Lambing, great-grandson Patrick Coleman, brother Raymond Skiles, and sisters: Ruth Campagna, Evelyn Skiles, and Elizabeth Zimmerman, and infant brother James. Survived by children: Dorathy Kimball of Enola; Donna Lambing, Altoona; Dale (Millie) Getty, McKees Rocks; and David (Mary) Getty of Ebensburg. Also grandchildren: Kathryn (Kevin) Coleman, Karen (Bobby) Hogan, John (Nancy) Kimball, Sarah Berg and Rebecca Kimball, Jennifer (Larry) Collier, Terry (Laurie) Gilliland, Timothy J. (Kim) Gilliland, Scott Getty, Benjamin (Casey) Getty, Brian and Adam Getty; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Sister of Harry Skiles, Johnstown; John “Jack” Skiles, Ebensburg; Richard Skiles, and Margaret Benson, all of Johnstown. Sarah was a member of Laurel Mountain Bible Church, Mundys Corner. She enjoyed housekeeping, gardening, canning, and was a loving mother and “Grandma Sally” to her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
