ILLIG - Francis J., 85, Ebensburg, died May 12, 2005, in Portage. Born Jan. 16, 1920, in Ebensburg, son of Phillip and Mary (Duman) Illig. Preceded in death by parents and brothers and sisters, Charles, Bernard, Ann Ehrhart, Evelyn Noel and Hugh. Survived by brother and sisters, Marg Carney, Seward; Catherine Fodor, Elton; and John, Ellwood City. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Retired from Cambria Township Maintenance Department. Former member of VFW and Moose Lodge, both of Ebensburg. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Matevish & Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Sunday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg.
