Obituary of Helen M. Gratowsky

GRATOWSKY - Helen M., 84 of Ebensburg, passed away November 19, 2010 in Ebensburg, Born October 22, 1926 in Portage, daughter of the late John and Mary (Bandzuh) Kristofco. Last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred. C. Gratowsky and nine brothers and sisters. Survived by daughter, Mary Beth, married to Timothy W. Smith, Ebensburg, and grandchildren Timothy, Philadelphia and Hannah,at home. Helen had been employed many years ago in the Cambria County Courthouse and served as a school bus driver for special needs students for eleven years. Member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church. Helen was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and she loved animals. At Helen’s request, there will be no viewing. All are welcome to join the family for Helen’s Funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m., Monday at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant. Committal at Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Cambria County Humane Society. Arrangements by the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
