HARVEY – Carol Lynn, 64, Johnstown, formerly of Ebensburg, died Nov. 22, 2010, at Windber Hospice. Born Nov. 2, 1946, in Sankertown, daughter of Ralph and Bertha (Frederick) Harvey. Preceded in death by parents; niece, Lisa; and numerous aunts and uncles. Survived by beloved brothers and sisters, Don (Jackie) Harvey, Springhill, Fla.; Nancy (Donald “Whitey”) Bachota, Ebensburg; Harry Harvey, Portage; Ralph “Teets” (Patty) Harvey, Mineral Point; and Janet (Tom) Gongloff, Derry. Gentle, quiet and caring aunt of 20 nieces and nephews, 30 great-nieces and nephews and one great-great- niece. She was employed at United Cerebral Palsy as an RN, substitute school nurse, RN at various nursing homes and nurse educator at Mount Aloysius and UCP. Member of Pennsylvania Nurses Association, American Nursing Association, Sigma Theta Tau Inc., ETA Epsilon Chapter. At Carol’s request, there will be no public visitation. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Entombment, Holy Name Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Windber Hospice or St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Carol’s memory. Funeral arrangements by Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg.
